Scenic Hilltop Daimari
At the start of the Sunrise Hike to the Natural Pool, you’ll reach the hilltop at Daimari — a breathtaking spot that offers sweeping views of Aruba’s rugged north coast and the endless blue of the ocean
Arikok Park North Coast
As we continue the hike along Aruba’s dramatic north coast, the trail leads us right beside the ocean, where powerful waves crash against the rugged shoreline. We walk over ancient coral reef formations—natural limestone barriers that have long protected the island from erosion. These fossilized reefs, shaped by centuries of wind and water, create a striking landscape underfoot and a vivid reminder of Aruba’s geological past. The sound of the sea and the fresh ocean breeze guide us toward the hidden gem of Conchi, the Natural Pool.
Sea Grape Forest
Before reaching Moro Beach, we pass through a beautiful sea grape forest — one of the most common coastal trees in Aruba. With its broad, round leaves and sturdy roots, the sea grape adds a refreshing touch of green to the otherwise dry and rocky landscape. Growing naturally along the shoreline, these trees offer shade, shelter, and a peaceful contrast to the wild ocean just steps away. It’s a quiet moment of nature’s resilience before we continue our journey to the Natural Pool.
Moro Beach
Right after we pass through the sea grape forest, we immerse ourselves in the breathtaking white sand dunes of Moro Beach — also known by locals as “Cabezón” or “Boca Keto.” Surrounded by rolling dunes and soft sands, we hike near the ocean’s edge, feeling the cool breeze and spotting ghost crabs scurrying across our path. This stretch is alive with subtle signs of wildlife and the rhythmic sound of waves. With the warm glow of the sunrise lighting our way, we continue eastward toward the hidden treasure of Conchi, the Natural Pool.
Main Attraction Natural Pool
As we continue our journey, the landscape shifts once again—this time into a rugged coastline of dark igneous rock formations. It feels like entering a different ecosystem altogether, where volcanic rocks fused with traces of carbon create a dramatic and majestic setting. Here lies Conchi, Aruba’s iconic Natural Pool—nature’s very own Pool and jacuzzi on the top area, carved into the coastline by time and tide. If the ocean conditions allow and the waves are calm, we’ll enjoy a refreshing swim and a 30-minute snorkeling session in the crystal-clear waters of the pool. This is your chance to explore underwater life in one of the most unique spots on the island. At this point, your guide will provide snorkeling gear, fresh fruit, water, and safety instructions to make the experience both enjoyable and unforgettable.
Baby Natural Bridge Arikok
Before or after our time at the Natural Pool, we’ll take a shorter hike that brings us past the Turtle Head Rock, a striking formation near Conchi. This natural rock, shaped by centuries of wind and weather, resembles the head of a turtle and stands proudly against the desert-like landscape. Heated by the sun, it adds a dramatic touch to the trail. From there, we continue toward the Baby Natural Pool, a smaller tide pool formed from the fossilized coral reef floor. Here, we’ll explain how these pools were shaped by ancient marine life and natural erosion. Along the way, we’ll also pause to admire other nearby wonders—hidden rock formations, salt-stained cliffs, and breathtaking ocean views that make this hike truly unforgettable.
The Way Back
Once the experience at the Natural Pool and its surroundings comes to an end—and as the heat of the day begins to rise—we’ll make our way back along the same trail. With the sun higher in the sky, the landscape reveals new colors and shadows, offering a fresh perspective on the path we’ve already walked. This is the perfect moment to slow down, relax, take photos, and fully absorb the beauty of Aruba’s north coast before returning to the starting point.
