Starting Point
We start the semi-private tour at Arikok Information center.
Birdwatching & Flora Discovery
At the beginning of our walk from the Information Center, you’ll be immersed in the sounds of Arikok National Park’s vibrant birdlife. Listen to the melodic songs of local birds, and with a keen eye, you may spot species like the Wara Wara (Caracara), the Burrowing Owl (Shoco), or even the Green Emerald or Topaz Hummingbird fluttering by. Our knowledgeable guide will help you recognize their unique calls and introduce you to Aruba’s diverse cacti and plant life.
Panoramic Crossroads View
Reaching one of the highest crossroads in the park, you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking views of both sides of the island. To the south, you’ll spot the Balashi Brewery and the Caribbean Sea, while to the north, you’ll see the distant windmills near Baby Beach, marking the island’s rugged beauty.
Scenic Hilltop Stop
We’ll pause at one of the highest hills in Arikok National Park, offering an even more spectacular vantage point of Aruba’s northern coastline before beginning our descent towards the ocean.
Hill of the Devil & Microclimate Exploration
On our way down, we’ll stop at the Hill of the Devil, where you’ll hear the legend behind its name. Nearby, we’ll observe a unique microclimate, showcasing Aruba’s surprising ecological diversity.
Microclimate Exploration
At this stop, right near the ocean, our private tour guide will introduce you to a unique microclimate formed behind the coastal hills. Here, you’ll witness how large cacti and a small variety of resilient local trees have adapted to the harsh trade winds of the north. Learn how ocean spray and wind-driven moisture naturally irrigate this area, creating an unexpected oasis in the rugged landscape.
Fofoti Tree – Aruba’s 500-Year-Old Wonder
Here, we’ll explore ancient Fofoti trees, nature’s silent witnesses of Aruba’s history. We’ll take a refreshing break in the cool shade, enjoying a drink and fresh fruit, just as the Native Arawaks once did centuries ago. Depending on the group, your guide may encourage a quiet moment to connect with nature, allowing time for silence and presence in the moment—a short meditation or resting pause before continuing our adventure.
Conchi “Cura di Tortuga” – Aruba’s Natural Pool
A highlight of the tour, Conchi Natural Pool is a breathtaking rock formation shaped by the sea over thousands of years. Enjoy snorkeling, swimming, and relaxing in this secluded paradis
Arikok Hills
After Visiting the Natural pool we will hike through the hills back to the information center.
Arikok Visitor Center & Museum – The Final Stop
