Cactus – Philosocereus Lanuginosus – Kadushi di Pushi

Philosocereus Lanuginosus is a columnar cactus that can become tall and tree-like.  Known locally as Kadushi di Pushi and Tree Cactus in English, it has long white hairy spines and yellow prickles on the top of its branches.This cactus can reach an impressive 33 feet in height with stems only 4 inches wide.  It has 9 to ten ribs and long golden spines.  The bell shaped blooms are cream colored to a light pink.  The Southern Long-nosed Bat is a pollinator.
